Despite having a wheel alignment, I am getting excessive wear on the outer edge of my front tyres - psi = 32, Firestone Firehawk TZ700. Not sure if this is setup of the vehicle, or unsuitable tyre type. Obvious wear after 6 months use commented on during WOF.

Feedback appreciated - recommended tyre to buy or what to ask my mechanic?

There's nothing wrong with this type of tyre - it sounds like a wheel alignment problem. Try to find a good wheel alignment specialist and let them know the specific problem (ie; wearing tyres on the outside edge). There are a great many wheel alignment machines out there, but genuinely good operators are not quite so common. A reputable alignment outlet should be able to pinpoint and rectify your problem.
