hi,windows go down alright but have a problem with trying to get back up,leave them for a while then they decide to go up.

It sounds like the window motor is straining to pull the window up. It could be a motor that is on its way out but other possibilities are dirty window rail seals or even a window switch with poor electrical contacts.
