You recently answered a question on cam belt replacement on an Audi. My car was imported from Japan and nobody can tell me if or when the belt was changed. It has travelled 112,000 km's.

I would not hesitate to get the belt changed ASAP especially if the car is over 5 years of age.
There is no way a mechanic can be 100% sure of the belts condition without removing it. It's not worth the risk.
