This car runs really well but when the weather gets hot it can be very difficult to start especially after running for 20mins or so then being turned off (into the dairy) it will turn over ,catch & die from then it can often take 10-15 mins to get it started (it has never not started but as you can imagine this can be incredibly annoying. Often, not always the speedo & tacho wont work after it has started ???
any clues as my mechanic is also scratching his head

Your problem seems to be temperature related so I would suggest you have a mechanic connect the diagnostic equipment and scan for trouble codes. It could possibly be a coolant temperature sensor fault. Another possibility is incorrect resistance spark plugs are fitted but this is only likely if the problem started after replacing the plugs.
