I took my car for its WOF today and it passed but my mechanic has spotted other problems. He told me that my cars rocker cover gasket is leaking oil badly. He said I should get it fixed soon as it's a fire risk and that the car will be going through lots of oil. I do check the oil and I have not noticed it go down.. but there is a visible oily mess around that area. My car is a mazda capella 1994. He has told me it will cost around $250 to fix including labor and parts. Is this a reasonable price and is it something that should be fixed right away?

The price sounds about right for this type of repair. You should keep an eye on your engines oil level and have the oil leak fixed as soon as possible.
