I am wondering if I could use a jump starter device as a temporary way of keeping my van moving as I think the battery is on its way out?

I am just a little short for cash this time of year and thought this may be a cheaper alternative for now.

In theory the answer is yes BUT my recommendation is absolutely NO.

We have heard stories of cars catching fire with jumper packs connected. Any sparks under the bonnet due to insecure connections or poorly secured jump packs are a potential danger.

Dont take the risk - purchase a new battery.
