I have a isuzu bighorn 3.1dt 1997 ,i have never noticed before because i usually dont get so low on fuel but warning light is not working any ideas ? i have heard that there is a switch somewere like gearbox is this true ,

The fuel warning light works off the fuel sender unit that sits inside the fuel tank. The sender unit could possibly be faulty or it could be as simple as a faulty bulb on the instrument cluster. It doesn't have anything to do with the gearbox. A good auto-electrician would be able to determine which part needs replacing.
