my suzuki swift jerks when i am stopped at lights but doesnt do this all the time what could this be

Without experiencing the problem first hand, it's a little difficult to know for sure, but I suspect the problem could be that it is mis-firing at idle. This could be something like a faulty coil, spark plug or lead. I suggest you have a mechanic look at it.
