I have a 94 Misti galant, now heater was leaking in car. so disconnected it. car was running fine, was driving one day and it just cut out, relised that it was cutting out when i get up to 45km it would just die,would have to reset computer for it to start again. was told it was my ecu as it had brown water marking all ova it frm the heater leaking. just replace ecu now my car wont start. its turning over just not going all the way.

Have a look at the wiring harness connector to the computer, inspect for terminals possibly pushed back or corroded. You need to ensure the computer part number matches the old unit as it could possibly be the incorrect computer box.
