Whats considered high milage on a small motored car ,thats done most of it's life doing quite small distance trips. But has been seviced regularly, also if the car is a manual transmition, what sort of distance would one be likely too expect too get out of a clutch, before work would be needed on it.

"High" mileage is a relative term. On a 2011 car, 30,000km would be considered high, however I'm assuming you are meaning at what mileage is the car nearing the end of its useful life which might be up to 250,000 to 300,000km.
Likewise, a driver who rides the clutch, happens to live on a steep driveway or has been teaching a couple of teenagers to drive etc can wear out a clutch in 20,000km or less, where as a driver who is very easy on the clutch might over 100,000km and up to 150,000km or so.
For each scenario, the rules of thumb might be - try not to buy anything that's done more than 150,000km but that's hopefully just had a new clutch.
