Hi. I drive a 2004 Honda Accord V6. Just lately I noticed that at 100kmh speed, I can feel a slight shaking when brake is applied. What could be causing this problem?

Thanks

A number of possibilities can potentially cause brake shudder. Wear in steering joints, suspension components or worn shock absorbers are possibilities.
However, by far the most common cause would be with the brake discs. When discs wear, the surface can become uneven and in some cases cracking can occur on the surface due to excessive heat, both of which will cause shudder. Another common cause of shudder relating to the discs can occur when a car has been left sitting for an extended period. The surface of the disc can become contaminated in one spot (where the pad was against the disc). In this case, sometimes the problem will go away with use.
In general though, if the problem is disc related in one way or another (which I suspect) the only cure is to have the discs machined or replaced.
