What should be done to my car in order to keep it in good condition?

Three weeks isn't a really long time, so depending on what type of vehicle it is, you may not need to do anything.
If it is a high spec (particularly European) model with a lot of electronic modules and memories to back up, it may pay to disconnect the battery as over three weeks the current draw may flatten the battery. If it is a more run of the mill car, three weeks is not likely to cause any problems.
