Hi there :)

We're in the process of having the front tyres on our 2002 Toyota Estima replaced. We've been told we should have a bolt installed to reduce the amount of wear occurring, cost $150. Apparently this is due to running on the opposite side of the road? Would you know if this is a worthwhile investment?

We need more information please. If there is a bolt that adjusts alignment or camber that has flogged out, then perhaps it needs doing. We are aware of modifications to some vehicles that can give more adjustment, so perhaps this is what you mean.
We can't fathom what is being explained to you about the opposite side of the road. Toyota is a Japanese brand, designed to drive on the same side of the road as us. So unless this vehicle is Left Hand Drive, we're not sure why some adjustment needs to be done to run on the opposite side of the road.
At face value, this doesn't sound like a worthwhile investment and I would question the reason you're being given.
