Hi,
I have just bought an imported 2009 Mazda Atenza wagon which has done 96,000km. It has a timing chain so does not need to have a cam belt changed at 100,000km, but is there anything else that needs to be changed/replaced upon the car reaching the 100,000km mark?

Cheers
Tim

Other than general servicing in keeping with the manufacturer's recommendation, there are no real major components to consider as there would be on a car with a belt-driven camshaft.

What would the manufacturer's other general servicing recommdation(s) be? Sorry I know this sounds like a stupid questions, but I have no idea. Thanks.

I'm refering to general service procedures such as fluids (including oil, coolant, brake fluid, transmission fluid, washer fluid etc), oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, spark plugs, checking brakes, rotating tyres, lubricating hinges etc and numerous visual checks and inspections.
Whether all these items are required on the 100,000km Service for your car, you'd need to check the particular model's handbook/manual, but as a generalisation, these are the basic service elements for any car. Fortunately, you don't have the big expense of a cambelt.
