my mechamic has said it is a 5 hour job to replace a rocker cover gasket. we have a kia optimist 2003. does this time required sound right?

We are aware that it is a big job on the Kia Optima V6 (I presume this is what you are referring to?).
Our understanding is that the inlet manifold needs to be removed. While it is quite labour intensive, 5 hours seems on the high side. Our view is that is is more like a 3-4 hour job, so maybe it would pay to shop around.
