I was told to replace my rear seat belts due to the chaffing - can I do this myself or do I require a certified person? this is for a mitsi galant saloon

If they are the correct belts and you have the skill, you can perform the job yourself. It should not be a difficult job and there is no need to the job certified unless they are a new fitment, requiring new mounts (eg; in an older vehicle that never had belts originally).
