Hi there
Just wondering if there are any differences in 2008/2009 Mazda6 Hatchbacks or Wagons imported from the UK as compared to the NZ-new (or Atenza) models which would make it difficult to get spare parts? Any other generic issues to be aware of when buying second hand vehicles from the UK (other than the odometer and speedo being in miles)?

As we are not aware of exactly what spec was offered in the UK, we cannot be sure of what differences there may be. As with domestic Japanese models, it is possible that there may be some variances in trim and spec level.
Mechanically, if the engine and transmission is the same as the New Zealand model, parts should not be a problem.
Apart from the odo in miles, the only other caution we would apply to a UK import is to look out for corrosion as their climate can be harsh in winter and not so many people garage their cars overnight as they do in NZ.
