2006 Santa Fe Elite travelled 113,000kms. During this time I have had two door actuators fail and the front left suspension strut replaced. Expensive repairs each time!!! Hyundai will not cover under warranty as outside the standard period. My view is these parts should not have failed based on the age and kms travelled. Should Hyundai come tot he party and I wonder if the faults have been experienced by other Santa Fe owners?

The vehicle is over 5 years old and out of new car warranty so Hyundai have no responsibility to repair these faults at no costs to you.

If you have been a loyal past service customer however, I would have thought they may have offered some form of assistance in the way of a discount on parts/labour as a gesture of goodwill. If not, then you may be lucky to receive any assistance at all.

Maybe a letter to Hyundai NZ expressing your disappointment in the vehicle and the problems you have encountered during ownership.
