I have a Nissan Presea 1996 model car running smoothly; but sometimes the "Red" indication of the battery appears on the dashboard while running, goes off and comes again. Although it is not giving any trouble at this moment for running of the car, but wonder why this indication? Could you please suggest?

Red is a danger warning sign and the car should not be driven too far or for too long in this condition.

I suggest a visit to your local auto electrician is a priority.

The only basic check you may want to make is the alternator belt tension.
