My '95 Camry has been irratic lately, starting OK sometimes, won't start at all now.
I try to start the engine and it won't and I hear a faint clicking sound once I release the key. This I have traced to the HT lead at the distributor end. I have changed the coil with no effect. any ideas?

If the engine is failing to turn over then it sounds more like a starter motor or battery problem.

Try turning on the headlights when you are trying to crank the engine. If the lights dim completely then you have a battery problem.

If not, I suspect the starter motor.

Best I can offer.
