Could you please tell me any hiden faults to look for when purchasing or certain questions I need to
ask the owner. I will be getting a thorough Pre-purchase Inspection carried done.
Vehicle has travelled approx 38,000kms

Apologies for the delay in getting back to you. By now you have probably made your decision to buy or pass on this vehicle by now.

For what it’s worth; people don’t usually purchase these vehicles to puddle around town so you would need to try and get a handle on what the vehicle has been used for in the past.

The mileage is extremely low (just over 4K per year) which could be a good or bad sign hence the reason to ask a few questions.

Fuel consumption is never going to be great but most people accept this as part and parcel of the ownership experience.

Like all Holden’s of this age you could expect the occasional visit to the garage for the unexpected repair.

I also seem to remember these engines suffering from a piston noise issue when cold. May be wise to ask your local Holden dealer as I seem to remember there was an approved factory modification that was carried out to address this issue.
