I am running this car on 91 and have done so for over a year now, however recently the engine will shudder and hesitate slightly when i engagae the transmission.
Do you think this could be a fuel problem, if not what do you think.

The shudder and hesitation will have nothing to do with the type of fuel you have been using. The car will need to go into your preferred repairer for a check of the basics as the first step.

If they mention spark plugs be prepared for a fairly expensive invoice as access is difficult and long life plugs are often recommended.
