i have a 2004 susiki liana. i believe they have basic macpherson struts front and back and i was wondering if i was doing any harm (apart from possibly using more petrol) by leaving a 25kgs bag of wheat in the back of to give me some weight and a smoother ride around town, it is fine on the open road, but a bit of a hard ride around town?

If it improves the ride quality to an acceptable level for you, then no problems.

Any additional wear will be insignificant and be over a very long period.
