Ask an expert

My car is a 2001 BMW 530i Motorsport.
When applying kickdown to overtake there is a 2-3 second delay in response.
I don't think it existed or was not as noticable (say) a year ago.
Is this nomal, a computer error or something else.

My best advice is to take the car to either a BMW Dealer of a non franchise repairer who specialises in this brand.

Forget the mainstream transmission specialists or general repairers on this one, seek advice from those who should know best.
