Just wanted to ask what is the ideal recommended type of motor oil that I need to use for my 2003 Subaru Legacy GT station wagon (2 litre engine, non-turbo) and my 1997 Mitsubishi Galant VRG-GDI 1.8 litre engine? Your reply is much appreciated. Thanks.
A 15-40 grade of oil is a pretty safe option however, I would make contact with your local Subaru Dealer to double check on the Legacy.
They may have a different recommendation due to the unconventional engine configuration the brand runs.
