Servicing, repair, faults and reliability

I have a 1999 Camry 4 cylinder which has done 160000 km. What grade oil should I be using at this time?

It’s a debateable question and I'm sure there will be many varying opinions.

If the car has been well serviced all its life then a 15-40 grade would be a safe option.

Equally important is the oil filter.

Don’t compromise on price and if in doubt buy a genuine or Toyota approved aftermarket filter.
