I have heard people talking about not wanting to buy Alfa Romeos imported from Singapore.
Is this because of the humidity and the engine wiring loom?
If so, how common is this and in what year vehicles and models have there been problems?
I am trying to work out whether my Alfa is worth less than others!

You are correct about the high humidity in Singapore affecting wiring and electronics but this doesn't only apply to Alfa Romeo.
In recent years, a high number of European cars have been imported from Singapore, and this may account for European cars gaining a reputation for unreliability here.
These types of faults do not usually occur with NZ New European cars.
As to value, unfortunately it is fairly commonly known that Singaporean used imports can suffer from electrical problems, so it may reduce its value and appeal to buyers.
