We have a Saang Yong Rexton, diesel 2.7 SUV. The car is slow to gain speed from a stop. It takes up to 5 seconds to get up to speed. Any ideas what might be causing that?

It could very well be the performance is normal or acceptable in the eyes of the SsangYong Dealer.

You would need to do some comparisons with the exact same model, if that is possible.

Suggest you get your closest SsangYong Dealer to at least drive the vehicle with you to check out the engine performance.
