1995 Honda Oddyssy. Engine warning light comes on and motor "misses" as if about to stall and runs a little rough. If I switch motor off and on again the warning light is off and motor runs fine. When I check the oil admittedly sometimes it is low but other times level seems normal.

This has nothing to do with engine oil level.

I suspect when you switch the engine off, the electronic control unit (ECU or computer) is resetting itself and reverting back to the original factory settings which means the engine will run normally.

Until such time as the ECU detects another hiccup in the way the engine is running, the warning light will stay off.

There should be a fault code been held in the memory of the ECU to help identify the problem. A Honda Dealer or your local garage should be able to pull the code from the ECU fairly easily.

Until such time as the fault has been identified and repaired, the warning light will continue to come on, and stay on when the engine faults.
