I have a 1991 Mistubishi Pajero which has had an intermittent ABS brake light for the 10 years I've had it. Recently I had the brake pads replaced and now the light is always on and I'm told that it will fail a warrent. Any advice about what it might be and who to trust with resonably priced repairs (Christchurch)?

It sounds like one of the ABS sensors, or the wiring to the sensor has been disturbed. These are mounted behind the brake disk. Maybe the repairer who changed the brake pads might be able to check it out for you. Otherwise, contact the AA Auto Service and Repair outlet in Papanui on (3) 352 0083.
