Good Day,

My question is on toyota Nadia engines, I want to know which one of the engines iss more reliable and durable I have a number of people coplain about the D4 engine.

The reason whay I ask is because I want to make an informed buying decision on which toyota Nadia to buy.

To our knowledge all the Nadia's are fitted with the D4 engine. This is a lean burn engine and complaints normally centre around surging on light throttle or rough idle issues.

Apart from recommending the high octane fuel (95 or higher) we have not really heard of a permanent repair that smooth's the engine out completely.

Look for a D4 badge on the rear of the car or D4 stamped into the engine cover.

Thank you for your timely response,

Mayo kindly shed more light on the surging on light throttle or rough idle issues and also on the engine you are recommending the high octane fuel (95 or higher) is it also found on Toyota Nadia and what engine types do you recommend for the Nadia.

Looking forward to your usual timely response.

As I said in my earlier reply, I believe all the Nadia's are fitted with the D4 engine. One recommended way to help the low speed running issues is to add a high octane fuel rather than the cheaper 91 octane.

The problem won't make the car unreliable and for some the low speed issues may not be a problem.
