My transmission was replaced with a reconditioned transmission in July 2021. It had a 6-month warranty or 10,000Km whichever came first. 6 Months came first, but I had continual problems with the reverse gear from the time I had the job done, it only got worse as time went by. It could go into reverse gear, but it won't engage to move when you accelerate most of the time. I've had two opinions from mechanics and have advised me along with the garage that bolted up the transmission, it should not be doing that for a recon trans. I have been back to my garage, and their supplier will send another transmission, I pay half price, and my garage with cover the labour costs. I don't accept this, but do I have any legal rights? please help?
It sounds like the parts supplied were not of acceptable quality.
