Hi, I have bought a brand new car about 6 months ago. recently I have noticed both headlights fogging up(not watery condensation) inside in the lower area. I have noticed that it happened twice, and both happened on a colder day and it was raining. my guess was the temperature difference when the outside was cold and the headlight was warmed by the engine which creates the fogging. Fogging did go away not long after. My question is, being a brand new vehicle, is it normal that the headlights getting fogged up by any chance at all? is it reasonable to ask the dealer to repair or replace the headlights? , thanks
Hi if it is a new vehicle this sounds unusual. It would be best to raise your concerns with the dealer as soon as you can and give them a chance to assess the issue.
I have raised my concern, they said this sort of fogging is very minimal and is considered a natural phenomenon. It doesn't convince me at all. do you think my concern is reasonable enough to go to disputes tribunal?
