Hi
I have noticed that water is leaking into the drivers door and there is a clear 2 mm gap between the glass and the weather seal strip on the outside of the window. It looks like rain is running down the window and into the door. I have looked online for window seal repair /replacement - there are lots of windscreen repairers but so far no one that deals with general car seals. Can you advise where I might get the seals replaced in Auckland?

Hi there,
Due to the age of the vehicle, you may not be able to acquire new window seals and any used ones could possibly be in the same condition as they tend to go hard and shrink with age (there is usually an outer and inner seal).
Most seals would tend to let water in a little bit anyway, which is why there is plastic shielding the door from the door panel, and drain holes in the bottom of the door. You might need to have the drains checked and cleaned if water is sloshing around inside. Out Auto Centre sites can be located here: https://locations.aa.co.nz/aa-auto-centre- if you need to see if they can assist you.
