I've been a member for 8 years now and I'm also now an AA Plus member, I recently phoned up for Roadservice and breakdown assistance but was declined because my vehicle was not currently registered as I put it in storage just before the Covid lockdowns and put the registration on hold. The AA website states: "You are covered whether you're the driver or the passenger "no matter what car you are in". Can you advise why this happened or did I just get an operator that didn't quite know how to help?

Hi there,
I have been given the following information by the Roadservice team.
Part of the AA Membership/Roadservice exclusions state that a vehicle must have a current WoF and Registration in order to receive assistance. However this is also at the discretion of Roadservice as to the individual requirements of the call and the current terms of essential travel. If your vehicle has been on hold and in storage for a long time, it is likely you may not receive assistance unless you have a booking for the purposes of obtaining an inspection etc.

Yes I thought that was the case, I did tell the AA operator that I wished to be towed to the nearest AA Auto Centre, 6 Lancaster Street for them to look at the issue. But se went and asked her offsider and then came back and said they couldn't help me.
