Hi there, I wonder my car leaks windscreen fluid, because I added 3L on 11th Aug, then lockdown soon, I didn't drive. But yesterday it shows me yellow windscreen fluid signal...
So is there anything wrong with windscreen fluid reservoir??
I bought the car from the dealer, now it’s in 3 months warranty. But Auckland is at level 4 and the 3-month warranty will expire soon. If Auckland doesn’t lockdown and the warranty expires, will the dealer cover it? Since now it might have fault and now is in warranty but it’s lockdown in Auckland.

Hi there,
The best thing you can do is to call the dealer and let them know that there may be a leak and that once they are open you would like them to have a look at it.
They should understand that under level 4 pretty much everything shuts down and a remedy is not yet possible.

Thank you very much Cade. I will contact the dealer. And do you know the price range of fixing windshield water reservoir?

Hi there,
It is difficult to say as they don't often break- it would likely be a hose has come off or a seal is leaking and so wouldn't be a difficult or expensive repair.

Hi there, if it leak and I don’t fix it, will it affect the car? Or it’s necessary to fix it? I usually don’t use windscreen fluid, always clean the window manually.

Hi there,
No it won't impact the vehicle performance in any way.
