Every so often our 1999 Nissan Primera Camino loses acceleration power. When you put your foot down, instead of accelerating like normal, acceleration is very slow. Finally, the car gets up to speed and then runs good as gold. It tends to happen more when the car is cold, but not always. Probably happens 1 time out of 10 or so. Has been happening for a good while now. Car has about 190,000km on the clock. Any ideas?

Hi there,
I recommend booking onto a workshop for a diagnosis as it might need the fuel pump pressure checked as it was fairly common in Nissans of this age and mileage to require the fuel pump to be replaced.
The other thing to check would be spark plugs and coil/leads to see if the car is miss firing.
