Hallo,

I have a Burstner 8 meter campervan drive train Fiat Ducato with Comfortmatic gearbox. ( 77 000km).

On my way home from Taupo

going down hill the vehicle cut out with a warning check transmission.
I stopped restart the engine tried to shift gears but it cut out again with same warning check transmission
Waited about 10 min started the engine and drove of with out a hitch.
Plus minus 10 km the engine cut out with same warning.
I stopped restart the engine immediately warning is gone and continued home with out a hitch.
I took the vehicle to Wayne Kirk motors
Was informed that they tried 3 different scan tools unable to communicate with vehicle ECU and obtain any fault codes.
They checked clutch fluid level topped up - okay
Carry out visual check underneath front of vehicle for leaking clutch fluid - nothing detected.

Would you be able to help me to sort this out. Or direct me to some one who can help.

Hi Danie, similar problem here. 2018 Hobby Vantana with 2.3 Fiat Ducato coming downhill y'day between Taumaranui & Kurutau buzzer sounded and cogwheel warning light appeared on dash display with message 'check comfortmatic gearbox'. Wife was driving: slowed and stopped and the light disappeared. She stopped the engine and restarted. I took over. It didn't happen again between there & home (Taupo) but it's a worry. Seeing that your dealer didn't find anything I'm tempted to let sleeping dogs, but .... Have you any other ideas? Or had any other developments? Cheers, Steve
