I have 3 part containers of new oil which haven’t been used up over the years. I’m due now for an oil change & would like to know if I can use these together thanks. They are Valvoline diesel extra 15w 40, Penrite diesel HD 15w 40, and Mobil Delvac MX 15w 40.

Even though the oil classification is the same, I have no solid information to suggest it is harmful to blend brands and ages of oil, some opinions says it's ok and some say don't- there may be no right or wrong answer to this one. I would say though that the older the vehicle the less likely there will be any issue as long as the correct oil classification as per manufactures recommendation is used.
