I brought my Hyundai Accent car new in 2014 and had duraseal applied to protect the paint as it is apple green. In 2020 I notice some bubbling and flaky parts which I thought was the duraseal, apparently it was actually the clear coat. Hyundai will only pay for half the cost of a new paint job so I am taking this to the motor tribunal. My understanding is the paint should last at least 10 yrs? Any help or comments would be appreciated.

I would recommend that you seek an opinion from a vehicle paint specialist as to the length of time a vehicle paint should remain trouble free. They may also need to factor in the environment as to which the car was subject to.
