Hi,
Looking at one of these for my girlfriend. Whats the reliability like? Any known faults for things to be wary of?

Thanks
Shaun

These vehicles have always had a good reputation for reliability but age is starting to catch up on them which always creates extra risks for potential buyers.

A proven service history is definitely something to look for and in some cases pay a little extra for as well.

While we don’t get to hear of any major issues with the 4WD system in the Carib you need to ask yourself do you really need it.

Often its best to avoid the ‘extras’ that you simply don’t need and the ones that have the potential to cost you money. As an example vehicles fitted with turbo’s are often best avoided for vehicles in this age/price bracket.

Not a bad choice, but be careful you are not inheriting a vehicle somebody has decided is past its used by date.
