What is recommended for protecting the underside of my 2015 Jap import X Trail Hybrid from rust? We live by the sea.

You can get some spray-on underbody sealer which is quite think and will protect the underside of your vehicle. You can purchase cans to spray or a tub to use with a spray gun, or you could enquire about a workshop that could spray the vehicle while on a hoist for you.
