I have a Toyota Avensis 2005. Purchased 2.5 years ago, dealer now out of business. The dashboard appears to be degrading, some cracking in places but the main issue is that it's shiney and sticky, and the reflection of the shiney areas on the windshield blocks vision of the road. Cleaning it does not fix it. I can only drive the car if I wear polarised sunglasses which completely eliminates the reflection and the vision problem thankfully. Is there a repair for this type of problem? I'm aware of similar issues overseas involving recalls with other manufacturers , is there anything in place in NZ? Thanks any help appreciated.

Hello we have not really seen this issue occur with this particular model what it could be is product that has been applied to the dashboard to enhance its appearance, aside from a complete dashboard replacement you could try sourcing a fabric / carpet dash board covering.
