Hi,

Vehicle is a 2009 Audi A4 1.8T.
I have an Engine 4 cylinder misfire - AA mechanic has advised it probably is the coil or spark plug that needs to be replaced.

Can someone please give me a rough cost estimate for a normal mechanic to replace the spark plug or the coil?

I would be best to call in to a workshop in order to price the correct parts, better still have a diagnostic check carried out to be more specific on the misfire cause. Typically a coil may cost from $150 and a sparkplug from $25.
