My car was purchased in Feb 19. All well and had AA inspection done. Came back all ok. In April the coolant light came on, so i topped it up. Car was sitting for a week and coolant light came on again. That got me a bit concerned so I contacted the dealer who promptly helped me sort it and got it sorted by taking it to a mechanic who diagnosed the water pump needed to be replaced (dealer paid - however wanted me to contribute, i didn’t).
Two months down the track same problem, coolant light came on and another coolant leak. Apparently a faulty water pump. It is under warranty. 24 month. However it will need to be taken to vw/audi to have it certified for it to be faulty as it is a genuine water pump. Who pays for the mechanic to have it pressure tested in the first place? And then vw/audi to ensure it is faulty? Then for the replacement to be fitted?
Prior to import it had a new water pump fitted due to the same issue with the coolant light coming on (i found a receipt from june last year in the service book from audi). Which now makes me suspicious there is more to it.
To add to it all i have an oil leak. The car has been in my ownership for 6 month. What can i do? Go back to the dealer? What are my options?
The car has done 7.5k in my ownership. 67.5k in total.

Hi there,
You must keep talking to the dealer if there are any ongoing issues as they are the ones who sold you the vehicle and paid for the initial repairs. However it sounds like it might fall into a manufactures part warranty which is why they are saying it needs to go to an Audi dealer for them to fix the issue. You shouldn't have to pay for the same workshop to carryout tests to determine a leak from a part they recently fitted.

Hi. Thanks heaps. The dealer is aware of it being an ongoing issue as they were contacted to get the proof of purchase for warranty purposes.
