Hi, Toyota advertises its 8 year or 160,000k warrantee on its Hybrid batteries for NZ new cars. If a battery failed and had to be replaced would it have to be with a new battery or could they use a 2nd hand one? Thanks

Usually it would be a new replacement. But you would have to ask Toyota as to what their warranty specifically extends to, new or used replacement.
