In last the 1-1/2 months, when turning on engine on Kia cerato 2011 in the morning, there is an unusual tapping sound in addition to the usual tapping sound. This happens when the engine is cold. After driving for 10 minutes, you can't hear the sound. Two months ago we had oil changed. I have confirmed the oil used is the one recommended by the cerato manufactures. What are your thoughts. ?timing chain.

It could be a sticky lifter or timing chain/tensioners showing signs of wear until the parts and oil warms up and quietens down. It might not necessarily indicate an immediate issue to be remedied, but best to get it checked and see if this is a normal age related situation and something to keep an eye on.
