Hi, I recently had my car serviced at a different dealer and it used semi synthetic engine oil on my vehicle. I have been using full synthetic oil in the past. A friend of mine told me that i would need the engine oil replaced every six months with a semi synthetic oil since it doesn't last as long as the full synthetic oil. Would appreciate your opinion on that? Thanks.

Semi synthetic oil is still a good oil and has the same general service interval capability as the next (12 months 10k). If you have a longer service schedule than this, then you would want to use a better quality of oil.
