I have reached an age where I am considering changing my car to one that "I can get in and out of !"
I am attracted to the Holden Trax, I have two questions.
1) The 1.4 motor is turbocharged and I have read comments that suggest this motor is more powerful and economical than the 1.8 motor. I am no to comfortable with a turbo charged car - for no particular reason. It just seems to me that turbocharging is for high performance and big diesel trucks, not necessary for simple personal transport?
2) I have noted your comments suggesting the auto transmission in a Holden Cruze is cause of some concern. Is this the same transmission as used in the Trax?

Hi there,
We've not received any negative feedback on the Trax so far which is a good sign, however a lot of them could still be covered under warranty where the dealer is still responsible for any issues.
Small turbo engines have fast become common place for most vehicle manufacturers and is not really the big cause of concern we used to have with the more performance car type turbo applications we would see a few years ago. Often a smaller turbo engine has better fuel economy and more power output than a larger naturally aspirated one.
