Hello,
We are told our driveshaft on our 1996 Toyota Estima Lucida needs to be replaced. We are told that the part needs to be taken off, shipped to Auckland to be repaired, then shipped back and put back on. Looking for advice? Surely there are used or new parts that can be ordered vs. repairing the current failing part? Thanks a bunch:)

Hi there,
I believe we spoke on the phone today and I gave you the contact details for a Toyota used parts seller nearest to your location.

Hi Cade,
Thank you so much. They were able to find a driveshaft for me. Would I also need to order a universal joint for the full repair? I believe the previous mechanic said that that was also part of the issue. I am not sure if the joint comes attached to the driveshaft or if it is an entirely different entity? Sorry for my complete ignorance here:(.

Hi there, glad they can help you.
I don't know the full extent of what faulted on the vehicle and so wouldn't be able to tell you exactly what is required to be replaced. However the driveshaft should come complete with the universal attached (should be one at each end)
